Trainee foot health practitioner required

This opportunity is ideal for someone who prefers to work autonomously and likes to be in control of their own diaries. The job involves dealing with all sorts of foot conditions including ingrowing toenails, using a surgical blade to remove hard skin, corns and verrucas and applying dressings to wounds etc.

The job will involve sitting on a very low stool several times per day during home visits and you will also need to carry a large bag for the transportation of equipment.

Training will take anywhere from two months (for basic procedures) to a year depending on the speed you are willing to learn. You are NOT paid for your training.

After qualifying you will be working independently and will be earning £20-£30 per hour.

All training, DBS,Insurance and equipment are supplied and full support is given both during and after training.

Duties will also involve visiting people within their own homes including nursing and care homes etc.

You will need your own car as you will be traveling from house to house each day you are working. Honesty and reliability is a must!

You will need to be able to work and manage an electronic diary on your phone.

We are a small team of 8 practitioners. This position would best suit someone who has prior care or nursing experience, although this is not essential. Must be prepared to travel in order to complete the training in a reasonable time. We will require two days per week for you to be considered for training and in order for the training to be completed as quickly as possible.  Give us a call to find out more.
